Since the resurgence of Leon's book on Ebay and the Internet - and by popular demand Leon is working on a new, expanded second edition of Helmets of the Deep soon to be released during 2011 that will include many more photos and information about newer commercial diving equipment that has come on the scene since 1988.

As of today, some 800 copies of the normal hard bound books, are already reserved. The initial run of 2000 books, of which now, is going to include 200 leather bound copies, and 1800 normal hardbound books. I should have done this in the beginning, like my first book, 1000 copies, with 100 in leather. As of today, maybe 30 leather books are still available.

The pricing of the book is around $500 for the normal edition, and $1000 for the leather. We have passed the 1000 numbered page count, meaning each side of the page is numbered, so in reality, more than 500 actual pages, with more to be added. I did not put an exact price, because, hopefully, by this years end, 2010, the material being ready for the publisher, the price for paper, freight charges, etc, good go a little higher. I hope it does not. This second book project has exceeded what I had in mind for this undertaking.
